First Aid Saves Lives! – We need trainers to run our commercial basic and advanced certificate first aid courses. We need trainers to teach at-risk communities life-saving skills to deal with any emergency. We need trained volunteers to make sure people stay safe at public events.
Thrift Store – We stock women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, accessories, shoes, toys, books, homeware, furniture … in fact, almost anything. We need volunteers to help sort and price donations and to sell them to the general public.
Fundraising – We need volunteers to raise the vital funds necessary to run our ongoing programmes and services as well as prepare for unpredictable disasters and emergencies.
Schools / Youth – We need volunteers to visit schools and youth groups to disseminate disaster preparedness messages and promote humanitarian values.
Administration – We need administration, financial and records management support in our office to ensure our organization works as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Restoring Family Links – Restoration the of family links to victims, their family and friends, and rescuers in times of disasters.
Disaster Management – We work with vulnerable communities to prepare for disasters and emergencies, and their aftermath. We need trained first aiders to work in community shelters to assist with registration and health checks. We need trained first responders to provide first aid, psychosocial assistance and restoration the of family links to victims, their family and friends, and rescuers in times of disasters. We need volunteers to assess damage and needs, and to distribute relief items.
Governing Committee – We need between 3 and 12 volunteers who are interested in setting the strategic direction of the TCI RC, to be responsible for the property and funds of the branch, to delegate the day-to-day management and administration to the staff and to govern the operations of the branch
Volunteer Management – We need volunteers who are interested in taking on a coordination role within programmes, to be involved in the training and management of other volunteers.
